ABOUT PILGRIM EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN
CHURCH

One of the important things to know about Pilgrim Lutheran
Church is that we are a Bible believing
Confessional Church. We acknowledge and accept all the
canonical books of the Old and New
Testaments as the revealed and inspired word of God, and
acknowledge and accept all the
Confessional writings of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod,
contained in the Book of Concord of the year 1580, to be the true
and genuine exposition of the doctrine of the Bible.

The confessional writings are the three Ecumenical Creeds
(Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian), the Unaltered Augsburg
Confession, the Smalcald Articles, Luther's Large and Small
Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.

SYNOD AFFILIATION

Pilgrim Lutheran is a member congregation of the Lutheran
Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS was established in
1847 mainly by immigrants from Saxony and other parts of
Germany.
Our Synod has been known by it's evangelical spirit, it's
uncompromising faithfulness to the Lutheran faith as contained
and acknowledged in the confessional writings
